Still Desperate?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Desperate Housewives, being one of the most talked-about shows on television, has won the praise from viewers contributed from a wide span of generations, for its juicy treats. From the scandalous promos, to the multiple nominations and a win in the Emmys, we knew Desperate Housewives has achieved its title. Since the one day I downloaded and watched the episodes from the previous season, I got hooked. I became a fan. And when it comes to being a fan, you tend to expect the best. However, to be honest, Season Two of Desperate Housewives kicked off with a bland start. Last season, the secret of Mary Alice Young was revealed and we were told that the relationship between Mike and Zach were more than being neighbours. The cliffhanger continued with Mike walking into his house only to find Susan being held captive by Zach, who was holding a gun. But everything happened so quickly. The confrontation was short, everyone was running for the gun, which eventually landed in Susan's hands and all of a sudden, Zach was broken free and he was gone. Plus, Susan had NOT AT ALL, fell on her lips... so it's weird she ended up with a busted lip. I was quite amazed how Edie's house seemed to grow that fast. I thought it was still on sticks and a few bricks during the last few episodes in Season One, but in this premiere, the house looked like it went through some magical shift...there was even a roof already. Something about the timing isn't right. What I liked about the premiere were scenes of Lynette and Bree. Lynette was so funny. The job interview was the best. Multi-tasker. Haha.
For a moment, I thought Bree was gone. Well, that's just for a little while. She was back when she got all furious with Rex's mother over the orange tie. What shocked me the most was when Bree stopped the people from closing the coffin, paraded down the aisle, demanded Tom's tie, headed back to the coffin, and LIFTED Rex out of the coffin, so that she could free him from the disgustingly orange tie, put on the new tie for him, whisper a "You look MAGNIFICENT" to her late husband, before storming out of the church. It was a mixture of sadness, bewilderment, and joke. I kept rewinding that particular scene because I really couldn't imagine someone doing that for real. It's sad that Bree got so little console from the other ladies. Unlike that of Mary Alice Young, where everyone in the neighbourhood was talking about her suicide.
Maybe it's true, people don't really care what happen behind closed doors.

Catch-Ups

Woo! It's Saturday today! Yeah, everyone knows that. So I'm just reminding you! And we met up with Anjelline today! Our best tuition mate! Wait, not exactly my tuition mate... but look at it diagonally, Angel's still one. Haha! So we headed down to CityLink Mall. Sat in TCC and chatted for like...hours? I've gotta say everyone has really changed alot! From the innocent us to the...mature and righteous us? Haha. Not to say we weren't righteous in the past... rather, we looked at things in different angles previously, no one was actually that focused on the stuff we want to achieve in the future. Whereas, in the present, it's all about politics in real life. It's getting really scary how close we are to the REAL world. As in, the working life and all. You've really got to be on your own. You've really gotta smack some asses along the way, even though you think it may be unnecessary. Well, to get to the top, that's the way to do it. Just forget about those boot-licking tactics. How real would that be? Not at all. We talked about our poly lives... how the BA people seem to shun off anything that don't really concern us and like what Anjelline said "count numbers here and there" (HAHA!) and the lives in Angel's and Yihan's courses, where you've gotta stand up on your two feet all the time. Seriously, if I were in Mass Comm, I think I'd be a totally different person by now. The stress is overpowering. The never-ending torture from the never-ending assignments and projects, the rumors, the foul play amongst people... that's just not my thing. Everything has its level of difficulty... so yeah. It's really nice to meet up again, cause that reminds me of those days where we used to laze round Kovan's McDonald's, getting all chitty-chatty about our ol' school days.
Then, we were on our way home...discussed alil ANTM with Yihan and he accidentally slipped his tongue, spilling the winner's name. *Thrust a big-fat cucumber up Yihan's mouth* Haha! But I already sorta guessed her as the winner since Min Jun told me about her little appearance at the Emmys. Good fer her.
And I saw Lynn on the bus on the way back. It's amazing how she can simply crack me up when we talk. That's not all. Hui Jun was on the bus as well. Both girls stay in the same block, which is next to mine. So, we alighted and talked a whole damn lotsa stuff. It's nice to catch up with your school mates (aka neighbours for both of them). Lynn was grumbling about how psychotic one of her previous class mates was... it was all so funny. I'll never forget about the "Chicken Wings". Haha! I think we stood there and talked for like...an approx. 45 mins? I really reckon we should have more of these talks in the future...it's darn right interesting! Yes. Absolutely!

The First Week...
So a week has passed since the holidays started. And that leaves us (Not all of you guys for cryin' out loud) with two more weeks. Just two more weeks and that's the moment that I've been dreading for. The prospect of getting 'IT' simply fills me with apprehension. No matter what the outcome is, I still needa face it. I just hope everything's fine for everyone. Oh well. Let's leave that till then...
There's nothing really that wild to update about these days. This is not a boring start, but there isn't anything that exciting yet. I shall wait. It seems like I've been getting clues from nowhere. Not that I'm some superstitious jerk or whatever, but the number "4" kept popping out from almost everywhere. Well it's NOT scary at all to me, but it's plain coincidental. "Oh Gosh! Would something happen to me??" Okay, perhaps that's some rude contributions from the distant recesses of my brain...wild thoughts once again!

As you guys might have known, this new iPod nano just kicked off its sales in the markets recently. Technology does get better. How amazing to shrink everything, throw the 'ingredients' into the 'mixing bowl' and form an ultra-minute object. Well, not exactly that of a description though... Oh yes, it does look cool, but it also does look like a tiny remote control to me. Unproportional figure. In addition, it is so slim you may not know if you drop it. But of course, that is one of my assumptions. Good thing technology never dies. So what's next? iPod invisible?

"We are desperate...oh yes we ARE!"

*Claps ecstatically* You guys know why I'm clapping? Because Desperate Housewives' coming back with its brand new season! Yes! I'm desperate! Tell me, who isn't?? Maximum adoration. To the climax! Charmed can jolly well quit its production plans. Seriously, it has ran out of recipes. I don't even know what's going on in that show already. Nevertheless, its coming back with its 8th season soon...so yeah. Anyway, is L.O.S.T really that nice? All I see in the commercials were people running around, threatening to kill on that hairy island... So you mean those people are gonna do the same in the next few seasons? *Shrugs* Wow...

An Obnoxious Nightmare

You might think its a dream. But not this time. Last night, it was replaced by a NIGHTMARE!!! It has been ages since I had one. And the one I had last night gave me some shivering goosefleshes. I didn't really sleep my way through after that. It seemed so real. Plus freaky. In fact, VERY. Whatever I'm gonna say, is what I saw in my so called "dream"...may it be hallucination or may it be some incredible tales you think I myself formulated, you decide.
Now, this was what happened. The night was cool, courtesy of the air-con. I was in my very own room. I wasn't alone. There was a girl sitting across the room, and we were friends, in there. Initially, I thought I was in the real world, but the dissemblance of the place proved my senses wrong. It was a totally different venue, but in it, it was considered my room. I recognized some of my belongings, especially my bed. I was lying on it, at the same time, chatting with that girl. I couldn't see her face. My eyes was blinded by the darkness. I seemed to know her. I just couldn't remember the words we exchanged. Before I noticed, there was another girl lying beside me, but she faced the other direction and seemed to be asleep. Like when the heck did she appear? The previous girl was still in the room, sitting at a corner...she initiated a game. What I remember was, she said whoever wakes the sleeping girl(the one beside me) up, wins a prize. I was curious. And playful. So I agreed... I turned to the girl and said "HELLO!" in a quite-loud tone... And she suddenly turned around... What freaked me out the most was that we were at a close proximity and she attempted to bite me! Because we were so close to each other, and because of the vast darkness, all I could see was her eye. Immediately, my mind sprang to life and I visualized where I saw that eye before. The Ring and Ju-ON. It was really horrible. I screamed, but I couldn't hear my own voice AT ALL! And because she couldn't bite me, she lengthened her tongue and LICKED ME!! I knew I gave a soft yelp. I felt really weak in my dream. But whenever I had nightmares, I know my eyes will be opened. I don't know what that means. That happened last night too. I was breathing very hard, and I knew I was in between the real room and the one in the "dream", because I saw both of them. Complicated. Yeah. I know.
Soon, I broke free from that 'thing' which was still licking my neck and I woke up...to the real world. It was still dark. There wasn't anyone in the room. Next to me, on that very spot, was my bolster. The dream was still vivid. It was so real. What's more, my neck felt itchy. It was very strange. Can someone please interpret this...
B.T.W, I did not watch any horror films recently.

Breathless

Yes. You guessed it. I'm breathless. This is by far the most oppressive examination I've ever sat in my entire academic life. Five papers consecutively. It's dreadful. The tension intensely exerted on us...the trouble of having to memorize information this day, and then wipe those off another day for a totally different subject...the fearfulness of not being able to remember what you've previously studied...the tightness felt inside after realizing that you DO NOT know how to do the questions which you once revised before, simply because your memory's playing tricks with you and you so desperately wanna tear that question paper up at that very moment and leave the examination hall immediately, throwing the sack of burdens behind. And that happened to yours truly. Damn it. I am so UNCONFIDENT with the papers. I'd just have to pray hard that the moderations would pull the grades up, permitting us some allowances... I need a real MIRACLE...PLEASE!
Well, there's nothing I could say anymore at the time being. I'm mentally drained. I need to recharge.

GROSSIFIED!

I guess the title made it clear about the way I'm feeling now. Okay, what happened was this. As you guys already knew (or those who haven't, now you know), exams are round the corner, which happens to be in like 3 days' time! I gotta tell you. I am so UNHAPPY with the exam time-table. Whoever drew that up deserves some physical punishment from us. Oh yeah, back to the topic. I spent the entire afternoon trying to bully myself to stay focused on that super-thick file before my visage. FYI, I only finished revising 2 pathetic chapters of Taxation. How great is that? And I realized I have some missing notes. So I combed my bureau, which was buried under the tremendous pile of worksheets, books, newspapers, rubbish, blah and blah. It's just so messy! No. I still couldn't find those notes. So I thought it would be in the shelf across the room. I stood up, and a took couple of steps forward. Then, I felt something under my feet. A crunchy sensation. I crushed a black beetle! YHUCK! All its juices glued to the bottom of my feet. It was plain awful! Well, what to do. The beetle was destined to DIE UNDER MY FEET! HAHA! Pity. Wiped my feet clean with several pieces of tissues, scooped the grotesque body of the beetle and threw it into the toilet bowl. Down into the sewage it went. What...DO NOT expect a grand burial. I hope it doesn't reincarnate in there and then buzz out to take revenge on our butts later!

Well, so I returned to my study. An hour or so has passed. I was almost done with one of the chapters. I rested my head on my hands and scrutinized my room. Then, something caught my eyes. A lizard was crawling on the wall next to me. Can't you pests just leave me alone for awhile?? So I ran out to the storeroom and returned with the almighty Baygon. That lizard was already nearing the ceiling. I fired the Baygon at its disgusting body. And it dropped. Into my pen holder! GOSH! Luckily it didn't land on my table! It attempted clambering out of the holder, but I continued firing the poison at it. Quickly, I took the pen holder to the toilet and poured everything out. My mum thought I was mad. The lizard fell out into the open, again. My mum screamed so loudly and this time round, I thought she was mad herself. And immediately, she ran for the masking tape. As I watched the wriggling pest struggle before me, I was wondering... How does a lizard taste when its fried? People go to the extend of eating worms, roaches, dragonflies, rotten meat, monkey brains blah blah, how about lizard? I've never seen anyone eat that before! Have you? And so I was being playful, as I kept aiming the Baygon into the lizard's nostrils. DARN FUN! Too bad if that lizard has got asthma. Not that I care of! That's what pests like these will get if I see any in my house. DIE! But I HATE flying roaches! OIUAK!

*Stretches his body and YAWNS* Ah... I just woke up from another dream this time round. This was a short one. Or perhaps it was long, but I just couldn't remember most of it? Oh well, at least I had something to dream of. Alright. In this dream, I was a man. (DUH!) And as a man, I was a father. (Uh huh!) What's more. As a father, I have four kids. Three girls, one boy. And guess what. They were all mixed. My wife in there, was a Caucasian. She had long silky blonde hair which fell unstyled to her shoulders, framing the warmth of her face. She was beautiful. I loved my kids. I was taken aback when they called me "Daddy". Felt strange but great at the same time. I think we were on a holiday in some far away places. We were having fun. We were a happy family...
Just then, everything changed. I was in somewhere else. Everything looked unfamiliar. I was in this big fat house. It was very quiet. There wasn't anyone (or I thought). There was this dimly-lit lamp near the stairs ahead. I walked towards it and ascended the stairs. There were noises. It was soft. Someone must be in the house. I was curious. There wasn't fear. Just a sense of curiosity. I made my way to the second level of the house. I still hear noises. But it was an 'off and on' thing. And it was coming out from behind this door at the corner. I tip-toed to the door and turned the knob ... there were people on the bed, buried under the thick blankets... and they were moving... Well, I guess they heard me. They pushed the blankets and reviewed their faces. To my astonishment, I actually budged into the room of Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) and Carlos (Ricardo Antonio), and they were ...AHEM... making love. They even smiled. I turned around and scanned the surroundings, but no camera was in view. What? Was I actually in Desperate Housewives (Haha, I wish!)? Or was that a real scene? I then turned back round to face the bed, but they were gone. The bed was empty! What's all these? The next moment, I flicked my eyes and realized it's morning, already.

------

Oh no. I am so NOT prepared for my exams! There's so much to absorb. And so little time left. Please wish me luck, as I have four days to make a miracle. Thank you.

Hooorray! I just came back from the Comex exhibition at Suntec. The entire hall was jammed up. It sucked when you have to be pushed around sweaty bodies and edging my way out was a big problem. I was practically sardined! Pooo! And my dad bought me a Canon digicam after much persuasion for one of my own. Coolness! Yayness!
Before that, I was gaiting pass some shops in Marina Square, at the same time, chatting with my mum who was striding beside me. That place was so crowded! Well, that's what to expect since it's Saturday. Next thing, this person on my right suddenly moved back and almost bumped into me. Then, he simply turned around and said "Sorry" in a light tone. I was dazed for a moment because that guy was, who else, but Taufik Batisah. Yes. Him. There was this group of girls surrounding him, probably requesting for some snapshots with him. I didn't know what to say but just grinned and replied "it's alright". Haha. Silly me. I should've walked over to ask for his autograph for Hot Babe's sake. Sorry Hot Babe, maybe next time. Hah!

The Atypical Dream...

Okay. I just woke up. And I had such a weird dream last night. Er, maybe not weird. More of fun. This dream is divided into many sections. I can't really remember which scene came popping out first, so I'd put them in random. First up, I was in this Burger King which was located in the middle of some unknown street, eating with some people whom I do not know. And I was complaining so loudly because I had to eat in front of a rubbish bin.
Next, I was delivered into this scene whereby many guys were standing next to me. Guess what? I was in there having dragonboat training. H-U-H. We were having push-ups, sit-ups, sprinting, climbing the ropes, blah blah... It was so weird. And it wasn't in my school, it was located at some deserted area. After that, this person (probably the captain of the DB team) called for a 15 minutes break, leaving everyone scrambling to the restrooms nearby. And I remembered seeing this guy I HATE so much there. At that moment, I was like "EEEWWW". Anyways, I simply ignored him and went straight to the loo. It was the biggest toilet I've ever entered in my life... or rather.. in my dream. But still, it's bigger than any toilets I've entered in real life. So I entered this cubicle, locked the door and started 'putting out the fire'. I then realised this cubicle was divided into 2 sections, and the person next door can actually see what the other person (I) was doing, and I saw this woman talking on the phone. I bent down at that split second and it was such an embarrassment. "What the hell was that woman doing in the Gents?" Luckily, she seemed to be quite immersed in her conversation and didn't see me. Eventually, I found the chance to zip up my pants and stood up straight. And guess what. This woman has made a room out of that cubicle. YUCKS YUCKS YUCKS! She even laid a mattress on the floor and beside her was a small little table. A room in a toilet cubicle? She must be kidding. She saw me. And she asked me to visit her often. *Faints*
Next, I was out of the restroom and I'd stepped into a new scene. In there, someone had died. Someone evil. (Don't ask me how I knew he was evil, because my dream told me so!) So yeah. And this shaggy woman (probably a close friend of the deceased) was running about in this castle, seeking help and I think she was talking to someone invisible at a corner. She even whispered the word "Horcuxes" to the air. I was like...isn't that something I read in Harry Potter?? This dream was getting so weird. I was so confused of where I was, who were all these people, what was I doing in there. It doesn't make sense. Before I knew it, I was in another scene.
This time, in a boutique. And next to me, stood (Omg, I can't believe my eyes) Zhang Ziyi. She had this electrifying Afro hairstyle that someone might mis-recognize her for Tina-Turner-turned-Asian. She was pacing the whole boutique and surprisingly, she asked for my opinion for some gowns. Suddenly, the salegirls walked out and took most of the gowns away, leaving only a few pieces on the displays. Zhang Ziyi was sorta furious. She began throwing tantrums and shouted so loudly, but everyone looked as though nothing has happened...
Next, I was awoken by the the alarm clock... What a weird weird dream!

Today is lame. I went to school just for that pathetic 15 minutes of Q&A for our FIT presentation, which was almost 2 weeks ago. Goodness. How are we supposed to remember every single thing that was dated back then. Though we still have the information with us. But hello "Walking Zombie", just because you've got a meeting on that very day, we had to postpone this till a week later. And last week, we thought we remembered quite a few things, and you claimed that you've got a meeting, AGAIN. And now you're blaming us for NOT remembering whatever we presented that day, while what we are supposed to be doing now is to run through revisions, which proves to be much more important. Such a waste of time. Bah!

Saw Jaymee Ong in the train today. For those who doesn't know who she is, she's that babe who starred in 'Las Vegas'. Yup. I remembered the last time I saw her, she was tailing Jon Jonsson everywhere at the Singapore Fashion Festival in town. Can't deny that I was quite mesmerized by her looks that I kept staring at her direction throughout the journey till she alighted at Tampines. Sharp features with a sparkling pair of eyes. Hmmm.
-----

Everyone looks terrible. Swollen eyebags with darkened rings. The air seems to be shrouded with restless breaths. Everyone looked like they'd collapse on the ground any moment as though a venomous toxic has leaked. Hang on people. And dengue is hitting its all-time highest. Some of my dad's colleagues, my friend's mum are down with it. And it's very serious. No joke. God Bless. So beware, and take very good care of yourselves people. From now onwards, I am gonna bring along my BAYGON wherever I go. We will win the battle! After all, we're fighting against tweeny-weenny mosquitoes!
*whips out his Baygon and starts spraying everywhere in the house, thinkin' it's air-freshener*
