Google Earth Rawkadoodoo!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Yes I live there! (NOT in the clouds!)
Note this. GoogleEarth is amazing! It is the most transcendent thing I've ever came across in my entire 18 years of life. I spent the entire afternoon fantasizing the software and thereby, neglected my revision. OH MY GHARD! I was bewildered. Astonished. Flabbergasted. Whatever. It is by far the greatest FREE software that ever existed on this planet. GoogleEarth shoots crystal clear 2-D images from the satellite and it actually captures every single part of planet Earth, or rather, the whole Earth! What's more. You can even zoom in and locate your very own house! I found mine! In fact, I found lotsa places. But it's not really that easy to find them. It took me so many hours roaming round the tiny island of our homeland just to get familiarized with the roads. So, simply click on those images below and see what I found!
But then again, come to think of it, with this, it's pretty much like welcoming threat to the entire world. Terrorists can make use of this software to have a clearer view of any places (it's sooooo much better than a map!) and perhaps, plot attacks on wherever they feel like it. In fact, I combed the map of Singapore and came across a few Army camps and RSAF air bases. The layout of the roads, buildings, were more than visible. I even get to see the construction site of Changi Airport's Terminal 3. How cool is that! Yet, this is actually quite scary, to me. What privacy do we get when everyone in the whole world could view all places in the whole world, with this software? After all the effort thrown in, trying to maintain the highest security over these places... and now, everything, everywhere, anywhere can be seen through the net.
Nevertheless, GoogleEarth brings convenience to travelers who would wanna have a rough idea of how places look like, instead of having to visualize through sophisticated geographic maps. You can even so called 'travel' round the globe with GoogleEarth when you're practically doing nothing or something. So c'mon! Download GoogleEarth and see the world! But of course you might get bored with this thing you'd rather be there standing right at that place. Whatsoever, it's FREE!

MTV Video Music Awards 2005
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Kelly posing for the cameras

YAY! I knew it! I knew she will make it big. I knew she has the power, the strength, the courage, the determination. Last night, she smacked singers like Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Amerie, Shakira, Ashlee and swept away the "Best Female Video" award as well as the "Best Pop Video" award for "Since U Been Gone" at the MTV Video Music Awards at Miami, Florida. Guess Kelly had really 'Breakaway' from her American Idol roots and sailed on. Good for her. And I doubt any past winners can ever stand at her position, given their diminishing status in the biz. Sad for them. Big winner of the night was, Green Day! Yeah!

I love today. Today is a good day. Day after day, I will remember today! This morning, we showered our affection on Mrs. Ang. We adore her. She is probably the BEST teacher in the school of B.A. We were all seated at the very last row of the lecture theatre (as usual), immersed in our work. Teresa (her ambition was to be a gardener! HAHA!) was busy chopping and trimming the stems of the alluring sunflowers. Reynold was eyeing Mrs. Ang so hard that he shrieked whenever Mrs. Ang looked like she was gonna walk to our territory, eventually letting out an alarming scream of panic ("SHE'S COMING!!!") when Mrs. Ang really ascended the steps from her initial spot. That scream sent us all bonkers, shuffling everything out of sight in the nick of time. It was hysterical. We attracted so much attention! Gawd oh gawd. And I self-edited a so called minute 'poem' for Mrs. Ang, courtesy of Mister Chew Boxun:
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Glorifying sunflowers,
Makes me think of YOU!"
Yeah, I know. Corny is the word. But I had fun writing it alright! Haha! We approached her when the lecture ended. She was overjoyed. And was touched. She loved the sunflowers. She poked her nose to each and every stalk she received, probably savouring the alluring scent that still lingered then. She beamed brightly. Her eyes glittered with tears. She told us she'd never receive such a heart-warming farewell from anyone. She gleamed as she unwrapped her gift. She was thankful. We had tutorial right after. We had yummy cake. We love Mrs. Ang. We thanked and still thank her for her sweets, candies, goodies, jokes, personal-sharing moments, car rides and everything. Mrs. Ang no doubt brightens up our Fridays. We'll miss Mrs. Ang, our bestest friend, and we hope fate will bring us all together once again in the near future.

*Pics will be uploaded soon.

I skipped school yesterday. Wait. Or should I say, claimed my annual leave. Haha! I know, cool ain't it? Well, I mean I got to stay at home and slack, instead of grovelling out of bed (does the JU-ON crawl) and streaming all the way to school just to attend a 2-hr class, which proves to be a little obtuse. (No offence to those who attended, just speaking in my p.o.v.) In addition, I wasn't really in high spirits, so I guess home was the best place to recharge.
Yes. I feel recharged today. And I became Bo's alarm clock this morning. Tsk tsk. Cabbed to school. Classwork assignment today. I was practically cursing that piece of worksheet for half the lesson. Ended up copying Teresa's & Bo's work. Left half of it undone. SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! You are NOT supposed to tell anyone! Ah, well, Mister William's not gonna mind, right? Haha. After all the hints he gave us. Nah. Nah. And finally. Canteen food was out of the way during lunch. Dined at S.I.M instead. (Thank goodness!) But the food wrecked my appetite. It sucked. My throat felt venomously itchy as the chewed bits of chicken meat rested in my stomach. The cook must had unintentionally sprayed his contaminated acid while he tossed the chicken chops, as I watched him struggle to hold back a sneeze (I hope he covered his mouth!). It's just as bad as starring in Extreme Gourmet. Yhurk.
F.I.T was cool, for the very first time. We laughed. We finished class right on the dot. Never felt so good. Yeah.
Headed down town with Hot Babe to get Mrs. Ang's gift. It's a black Braun Buffel wallet. I love it. The utopian elegance von Deutschland. Kuhle! Special thanks to those who have contributed, as well as the sunflower girls! (I really hope Mrs. Ang isn't reading any of these!) So. Let's come together and show our L.O.V.E to our dearest teacher tomorrow! *Dancing to the rhythm*

Okay. Exams in three weeks time. You may think its still "quite" far away, but it'll just breeze in with a *snap*, and I'm kinda freakin' out. Because I haven't really been doing my tutorials up to date. Feels so far behind. So apathetic to even read the cover page of my lecture notes. Whenever I attend classes, all I could think of was: "What are we doing here??" and then shoot the tutors with the what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about-and-I-don't-get-a-single-word-you-are-saying look. OOOooooh gard! I'mma laggard and losin' out! ..."Alright, CALM DOWN EUGENE! CALM DOWN!!"
------
School is getting so BORING. Canteen food, canteen food & MORE canteen food for lunches for the past few weeks. Excessively sick of canteen food. I really hope I don't get to consume any more canteen food for this entire week, a big NONO. And everything seems foolishly blase, to me. Or at least... Absolute humdrum. In case you haven't notice, my mood has been cascading into the pits. Low low low & down right LOW. And in case you do not know, I am someone who will take grudges if someone were to provoke me during this stage. Anytime but NOT this time. And if anyone, were to do anything to make my day sour, I won't hesitate to make yours worse. From this day onwards, I am gonna shape my life in school antithetically to the usual. I am gonna wipe off the smiles that used to be plastered across my face. The reality of 'give & take', starts now...

Finally, my undone stuffs are accomplished. It's time for breather. A short one wouldn't harm, would it? The past few weeks have been hectic. The workload was considerably unbearable, not totally though. And I sincerely apologize to those, you-know-who, for my semi-foul temper. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who caught that so called "virus". I thought F.I.T would be a nightmare, but afterall, we managed to slip through and even achieved pleasant comments from the 'Walking Zombie', which was altogether rare. Well, whatsoever, we've done our parts and y'all could just dispose everything to the "unwanted" recesses of your brains.

------

Yesterday was a long day. In school that is. Fortunately for us (Bo & I), our dearest Mrs. Ang gave us a lift to school. Very nice of her. She's like the bestest teacher I've ever met in my entire schooling period (not forgetting Ms. Von Chew). Sadly, Mrs. Ang's leaving us soon...
Did any of you, go for "The Ides Of March" musical at NP last night? If not, you must be missin' out then. The whole convention centre was flooded with supporters. This is what I call, the power of love. I thought most the actors and actresses were natural. They knew what they were doing, seem experienced. I personally liked the characters of Mark Anthony, Cassius, Calphurnia, and lastly, Lucius! Haha! Lucius, the servant, or so called "BOY" of Brutus, is played by who else but Yihan! Great job! I can see, or rather, we, saw that he was highly immersed when he yelled at Anthony. A natural output. *Claps tremendously* The fighting scene was hilarious though. And there were lotsa slapping, pushing, kicking, shoving and violent actions. How I wish I could join in. By the way, the cat fight was fabulous! We were like: "OH MY GAWD!" Can't believe the people actually slapped and pushed one another so hard, I wonder if they were hurt. Some of the audiences were quite dumb because they laughed at parts which weren't at all, funny. And I was really distracted by the girls at the back who kept popping on their 'KEROPOKS'. Not one, not two, but three of them. Each digging aimlessly into their snacks, retrieved the contents and munched blatantly. Refrained myself from having to whip around and asking them to: "SHUT UP & PAY ATTENTION!" Not gonna help, would it? They'd probably slash me with invisible daggers from behind. BLAH.
All-in-all, kudos to PSF for the successful production. More please.

Something weird happened last night. Yes. You might think "Oh, it's another kinda Ghost tales...Woooooo." But I was a little freaked out. Okay. I was back from town after my project meeting. Which was around 11.20pm. I've already alighted from the cab and was dawdling to the lifts. I was mentally consumed, but not to the state where I could just fall flat on the ground. No. Not that. So I entered one of the lifts, with no one following me (I hope not!). The doors closed. The lift moved. Something was just amiss. It was as though someone was in there, with me. Not that I care of. I stood back. And I felt something. A breath. Near my neck to the left. A gentle blow. No. I am absolutely sure it wasn't the ventilator. Not as though they've suddenly switched it to 'High' mode or that a bigger fan has been replaced above. I've taken those lifts 3545545632 times since I moved in, never had I felt such a wind, or breath or whatever it is, before. Even when I'm alone. Never. Well. You might say it's hallucination. I don't know. You might say I'm imaging things. I wasn't. But even now, I'm feeling gooseflesh recalling that. So was there actually someone in the lift with me? Who would it be? Min Jun suggested it might be someone hidden under the invisibility cloak. Haha. What? Maybe Harry had come to pay me a visit. Who knows. Believe it or not, it's your choice.

------

Talking about Harry Potter. I came across this brand new Sneak Peek for the upcoming movie installment, namely, Goblet of Fire. In my opinion, it was thrilling. I am impressed by some of the scenes. Can't wait any longer!
Click Here to view the Sneak Peek. (Note: This is not a trailer. Quicktime player is needed.) Enjoy!

This is a displeasing week. All the mood swings, arguments, bickering and internal disputes arose. It must be a cursed week. Just like yesterday. Thanks to the 'Walking Zombie', we had the whole afternoon to ourselves. Oh wait. Thank her? Fat hope. More of like showing acknowledgement to us. So. What's the big deal of not doing that tutorial? Yes. It's our fault. So what? Shoot us. No point firing us with your stupid rantings. We don't need that. Save those slimey acids in your mouth to yourself. You might need them to ensure your survival. We know what we're doing. So stop comparing us with those 'hardworking' students of yours. We are different. We loathe comparison. Stop asking us to NOT judge you by your words, because you are judging our abilities. And. Please do something to enlarge your eyeballs. They make you look disgustingly frightful and grotesque. What's more. You are boring. That's all. Thank you very much... Not.

OHHhhhh...

I just returned from my dinner cum supper, or should I call it Din-pper? Okay whatever. I'm totally fagged out. While I was savouring my noodle in my half-asleep mode, I almost plunged my face into the bowl, swaying sideways aimlessly and was making unsuccessful attempts to shake myself awake. It was that bad. I was that fatigued. Projects sucked the life off us like how Dementors perform the detachment of happiness from their victims' soul. Shopping proves to be arduous and draining as well. Anyway, a very big THANK YOU to all for the present. It may be a belated gift, but to me, it means alot.
Watched Charlie & the Chocolate Factory earlier this evening. In my opinion, it is quite childish. It wasn't that captivating. I mean what more could you expect of a movie made out from a novel read when we were still at primary levels. Tastes changed. Come to think of it, there really isn't anything much in the factory, except that it looked more fascinating than any other chocolate factories that exist in the whole wide world. And I like Freddie Highmore. Other than that, bleh.
Alright, what am I talking about? I've no idea myself! My mind is entirely overwhelmed by exhaustion. I need to leave this place...I need my bed...I need SLEEP!

Singapore Celebrates!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
A land we call HOME.

Happy 40th Birthday Singapore!
You can't deny that Singapore is a great country. You can't deny that Singapore is one of the world's most peaceful place to reside. Though it is merely a red dot on the gigantic world map, it is well-known to people round the globe. I am proud to be a Singaporean. Are you?

I'm exhausted. Drained from the countless tasks that were thrown at us, that are still left undone, that are currently screaming for our attention, causing severe brain congestion and frequent hand cramps. Debilitated from having to parade down Orchard from CityLink earlier this evening to scout for the Adidas jacket. They're gone! The brown one with yellow stripes, and the white with blue collar. All have vanished. *FARTS* I am certainly crestfallen. Again, the moral of the story is NOT to wait, grasp the opportunity when something appears before your eyes. Something you've desired for quite a while. Well, perhaps they're just not meant to be worn on me.
By the moment I stepped home, I was wasted. Wah lao, very SUSAH leh! Haha! Alright, I'm being cheeky once more. Biggest compliments to our "beloved" tutor. She adores greeting her students with the deepest monotonous voice she could ever muster, causing herself to sound like a male trapped in a female's body. She has sunken features, darkened melon eyebags accompanied by crispy eyelids that droop a few inches to make her look as though she was suffering from some face-sagging illness, thick sausage lips, and a body wrapped so tightly with thick clothing we thought she had forgotten that Singapore doesn't snow. In my opinion, she resembled a walking zombie. Despite her usual ranting of "Eh, don't like that leh!" and "Eh, you all like that very SE-RI-OUS one leh!", she is one nice person, though her lessons proved to be dreadful. It's just insanely amusing to imitate her way of speech, which would simply invite laughs to the day. I expect by the end of the semester, there'll be a handful of clones and y'all will witness the BA people speaking the way we've never spoken before. Scary.
