Saturday, December 31, 2005 Spyware Scare SPYWARE INFECTION?? OH MY GOODNESS!!! Alrighty. You do know these problems with your computers --> sluggish performance, unknown home pages or search engines for your Internet browser, or perhaps, persistent modem activity even when you're not sitting at the computer... You might think there is a problem with your harware or software. NO. It's definitely SPYWARES! Basically, Spywares are UNINVITIED guests to your computer, those who just sneak in without your permission when you visit certain websites or when certain pop-ups ads starts appearing on your desktop, or even free softwares that you downloaded. Once spywares are littered in your computer, it's time you should do something about it. That happened to me a couple of days ago. Take a look at the above picture and y'all will know. I was web-browsing when everything froze. My previous wallpaper was tore down and replaced with THAT! I almost passed out, you don't know. And my Dad was like: " I would rather you having your computer contracted with viruses and spywares than you having your concentration pulled away from your books." Like, WHAT?! You guys should update Norton A-V and perform some scans weekly. A good recommendation is Microsoft AntiSpyware. No worries. It's free and absolutely safe. It removes all harmful files and leaves your computer as clean as ever. But it ain't sufficient. You still needa run Norton. You'll never know whose spying on you. So, destroy spywares before they destroy you! WORK IT! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 11:47 AM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. Before that, we had to endure some 15 - 20 minutes of commercials at the beginning, but the few things that brightened me up were the trailers of "The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead's Men Chest as well as The Da Vinci Code, both hitting the big screen in Summer '06. Can't wait! Especially for the latter. Basically, I have not read any of the books by C.S. Lewis on which this and its projected sequels are based, hence I can only judge the film on its own merits as a 2-plus hours movie extravaganza. Really, I loved it. I absolutely enjoyed the plot, the handsome scenery of New Zealand, the perfect storyline, the acting and not forgetting, the magnificent musical scores. I regard the film as a mesh between "Harry Potter" and "The Lord of the Rings", combining the elements of children's escapades similar to those in the Harry Potter series with the scenes of war found in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've gotta say, its even better than any Harry Potter installments by far but indomitable as compared to the LOTR. Actress Tilda Swinton did a great job as the White Witch and a couple of the four child actors acquit themselves well. I especially love Lucy. She's just so adorable. According the Yihan, the film, or rather, the books have some powerful Christian symbolism injected. And so, I did some research this morning and realized that the sacrifice of Aslan made some sense. The stone table splitting into two, Aslan resurrected and then re-appearing before the sisters. It looks like the author was trying to accomplish something. But I'm no one to comment on this. All in all, it's a splendid creation and you wouldn't wanna miss it. Actually, I really wouldn't mind seeing it a second time. Yes. It's that good. It makes me wanna crack those books so badly before the other sequels come out! What are you waiting for? Get on your feet and go see it! My rating: 8.5/10! Right after the movie, we met up with Yihan. Later, we marched down from PS to the main street of Orchard in hopes of catching the very last show at The World of Narnia. Frankly, it worth nuts. But we had our hilarious bits as we witnessed Mr. Tumnus' horrendous legs and Lucy's ethnic transformation. The "White Witch" showed abhorrent hospitality by addressing one of the audience as an "IDIOT". Unpleasant. But FARNIE. GO AWAY YOU PAPARAZZI! I totally HATE crowds. We were practically trudging like discombobulated geishas, clueless of where the crowd was leading us. TERRIBLE! Like come on! What's the matter with those people! And those moronic teens just thought they were having a hell lotta fun spraying foam everywhere. How I wish I could set off a bomb so that the streets belonged to the three of us. The power of three COULD set us free. The human traffic took us more than 30 minutes to get to Cineleisure. It was near 11PM. We were famished. Resorted to eating at PastaMania. The Alfredo was just too creamy for comfort. The Minestrone was real salty. The cappuccino, awful. The only thing made me go AHHH, was the Ice Lemon Tea. Had a nice trio chat with my besties. Just can't believe the things that happened till date. Flashes. All flashes. OH, SWEET! . Leftovers... . UNGLAMALICIOUS! And by the time we came out, we were greeted by bunches of "FOAMERS" again. Sick arses! Lucky for us, we managed to keep ourselves clean and dry. It was extremely chaotic. ANTM Wannabes! . OY! Wait for me larh! People gone wild, victims scampering for shelter... Madness! I swear I am so not celebrating Christmas in town anymore. NO WAY! LOONY Bizzarians! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 3:54 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Friday, December 23, 2005 ANTM Reunion Wow! To Tyra. For the last episode of Cycle 5. More like, "WOW". So actually it's kinda like an episode of The Tyra Banks Show, rather than ANTM: The Reunion Show. Like WTH. Yeah, the set was cool, the girls were pretty, but oh c'mon, you won't believe how BORING this shit was. There's practically NOTHING to talk about. And all along, Ms. Tyra was just asking the girls about stuff that we ALREADY knew. Hello, already! I actually fast-forwarded the entire show so that I could end this thang quick. Oh Lord! . Some CRAZAY moments in ANTM 5. . . VS. . . If you can't figure, it's "LISAAA" she's callin'. . WHOA! Mr. J, You're HOTTT! ... not. . And we have the Bootylicious Ms. J. Alexander *Sizzles* . Runway Diva flaunting her almost-feminine physique. Way to go! . From Inane... . TO... . Intense... . TO... . INSANE!!! . Hey Y'all! Make sure you whistle loud enough. . Can you smell curry wafting from her poses? . Perfect illustration of the exuberant spirit of Bollywood! . . Till next season! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 8:38 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Sunday, December 18, 2005 THE DA VINCI CODE WOW! I am just so excited about the movie. According to The Da Vinci Code Movie Blog, the movie is facing some disputes from external parties. But looks like nothing's gonna stop director Ron Howard from releasing this film in May next year (18-05-06). I'm really looking forward to it when it hits the big screens. Dan Brown is a genius. I seriously need to re-read the book. YEAH! So there you see Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou (Amelie) starring as Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu respectively in the upcoming movie. Sir Ian Mckellen won the role as Sir Leigh Teabing. And here is the official theatrical trailer. Simply CLICK HERE! ENJOY! (QuickTime 7 is required.) The weeks have passed and finally, its our VACATION break! By the way, this was another busy week, but I've managed to juggle between school work and leisure. The past few days of school was quite good, albeit exhausting. But everything was cool. I was in exceptionally good mood recently. Despite the fact that we still have undone assignments and projects, plus having to bully my brain to revise on some of the necessary occasions, I've never been happier. So glad that we skipped all lectures these couple of weeks as it's absolutely mundane to snore our way through insipid moments where still lecturers would redundantly disgorge monotonous speeches. Doesn't help at all. Anyways, we went downtown yesterday, right after we were informed that made-up Audit was postponed to Monday. So we walked around, sat at McDonald's Taka, where the girls gathered to re-watch some hysterical clips, courtesy of Miss Von. Right after, we went straight into Levi's to get the girls' birthday gifts. Soon enough, our class can take the label as the official Club Levi's because almost everyone had been receiving its jeans for each birthday. I reckon we shall upgrade to Armani products next season. Shopping in the month of an upcoming festive season is life threatening. I got all so nauseated the moment I walked into MNG with the girls. There, we witnessed a population of idiots grabbing and clutching anything that was within their reach, as though they anticipated their houses were going to be engulfed by the Sun the very next day. We could have been baked alive in there, you don't know! BAH! When I was on my way back in the home-borne train, I met some of the most obnoxious teens alive in town. They were showcasing their deplorable behaviour, where two of the guys (mid-teens) would occasionally splatter selective vulgarities and flash obscene hand signs at some innocent aunties who just happened to walk pass the door to the cabin, at every station (from City Hall - Bedok). That totally tore me down, as I felt so ashamed that such god-awful pests are actually breeding in a pleasant country. ATROCIOUS! They are altogether an atypical species to us human beings, they STINK! Verpissen Sie sich aus diesem Land! SHOO! As for today, I've been lazy and melancholy with the weather. Been crooning (Yes, I almost shattered my mirror the other day). Shopped for some CDs. Bought Mimi's Ultra Platinum Edition of "T.E.O.M" (in addition to the original) as well as Carrie Underwood's debut "Some Hearts". I've been jivin' to the tunes of Mimi recently. I was captured and mesmerized. I still am. Way to go Queen Mimi! Carrie did an admirable job in "Some Hearts". Initially when I first downloaded the album, I thought it was just satisfactory. It actually sounded more Pop than Country. However, she did not go completely astray. If you were to hit the replay button, you'd think she did great as compared to the other renowned Country crooners like Martina Mcbride, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Gretchen Wilson, and some other blahs. In the meantime, it's refreshing, professionally produced, and strongly sung. I hope Carrie grabs a Grammy in the Country category in 2007. She's such a sweetie pie. freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 11:05 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments |
