I AM NOT MY HAIR

My love for India.Arie is so rocksteady that I'd really wanna blast her music for everyone in the whole world! With such inspiring lyrics and uplifting melodies, India never fails to thrill me with all that she can do with her God-sent abilities; from writing her own songs to producing those 'pump-your-hands-up-in-the-air' tunes, her music has tackled on the world issues with regards to life, relationship, love, politics and death.
All of her songs mean so much and this is one of my all-time favs ~

Heart Matters

I'm learning to forget.

Used to be locked in my mind.

Unable to shake off.

Can't get outta my head.

I love to hear.

And I miss to hear.

But the silence sometimes makes me weak.

It makes me think more.

It also makes my heart shrink.

Sink.

Makes me shake.

Vulnerable.

But I told myself,

Can't let it get to me.

My heart.

My soul.

Because how I feel differs.

I don't know,

if it's real.

But it doesn't feel otherwise.

I know, cos' mine is.

I'm so afraid,

to take the next step.

Cuz it's impossible.

Silence rings,

so blasting.

I could take it no more.

I'm getting tired.

So tired.

Still.
