My MTI Quest
HOLLA PEOPLE!!! If you are wondering, I'm still ALIVE and KICKIN' Y'ALL! WOOHOOO!!! I've been busy busy busy and real BUSY lately. Okay, maybe its incomparable with any of you guys out there but recently, time seems to be getting lesser and lesser each day and I'm wondering where time is vanishing to... And the haze which shrouded the island for WEEKS isn't helping much at all. In turn, it's simply clouding up my pipe!
And well yeah, YES. If you ask, I just ended my stint at MTI last week. 7 eventful months. I still remember how I used to dread starting on this internship program. How uncertain I felt when I was to anticipate the challenges that I was going to face back in those days. How I hate about the fact that I was to rise from the nest at 6am consecutively and then endure the ever-sardined train rides in the mornings, only to get to a venue where I was to sit in from 8.30-6pm (or more if I was needed), staring and scrutinizing at the gawd-damn minute figures that were hidden beyond the eye-piercing monitor screen all day long.
Hi, Y'all!
But guess what? All these melancholic factors were gradually erased along the way. Soon, it felt like MTI was becoming my second home. It was like, I was part of the family tree. The warmth, the coziness, and how we can talk about anything round the universe there. I'm missing those times where I can sing, laugh, shout, dance, sleep in the office.
In MTI, I witnessed a lot of dedication and pride pumped into the work entrusted to the people. That was something that encouraged me and spurs me on especially when I find work seemed interminable and routine sometimes. But, because of what I see, I was inspired to continue doing my small part, so that I can assist the rest, with some of the more important tasks in the best way I could. Within these 7 months, I was involved in so many things. My short stint has opened my eyes to the world somehow, and I am more than blissful to say that I've gained so much in this process.
I would always remember them, my dear colleagues and friends that I am really fond of. I'd always remember that they taught me and guided me in this quest, accompanying me in sailing into the vast working world. Even when it's only a short period of time, and even though I encountered a few obstacles along the way, I'm proud to say it was all so wonderful. These people've made a difference to my life. Because of them, those good ol' days there seemed more meaningful and worthwhile. Invaluable lessons they've taught me, I'll never forget. Diana, Serene, Belinda, Poh Choo, both Wendys, Gary, Ena, plus all of you fellow interns, Lynn, Van. Not forgetting you, Mr. DumBo (you know who you are!) ... thank you for your company, you've brought so much joy and jubliance that I couldn't possibly ask for more... really, WITHOUT YOU AH!!!
I must admit I'm very sad to leave MTI... for I feel a sense of belonging to the place... been through so much on this maiden voyage. However, now, I just have to bully my brain to switch itself back to the theory mode, again. Back to school y'all!
