Wednesday, April 27, 2005 Okay...I've not updated my blog for 10 whole days. Seems quite long but days are actually running pass us pretty quickly. This holiday is a dreadful one. I'm so not hung up with activities... so free yet quite busy...slacking. Phew! All those nerve wrecking moments of the anticipation of the results have been put to an end.. Fortunately, our class did great...er...I would say above average. Darryl Chew Bobo was so 'kan cheong' that he even called all the way from Cambodia, waking me up in the middle of my beautiful dream, requesting to help check his results...haha! Buddy, you really passed ALL! Yay, all of us are together again! Woohoo! I'm practically turning into a jailbird, wait... I'm already one! Well, just kidding. Nothing much happened within these 10 days. Oh, Pon came back from Thailand that is! But she went back already yeah. We shopped around...Orchard...again. Even with those theme parks, casinos and whatever built after 4 yrs time, I doubt Singapore will be a bigger place... It will only make this town a more crowded and sophisticated place. I'm so sick of the weather, it's like I'm placed in this invisible oven which has it's temperature set to the fullest. *Dries his sweat with a mop* Hoo! I'm really really bored with this city. Incredibly bored. Oh! That night I walked pass my parents' bedroom and overheard them saying they have thoughts of migrating... When I heard that, I was like "YAY!". Oh gosh, but when... can't wait no more. Questioned my mom about that, and she was like " Uhm, not until you finish your Army..." That would be like... half a decade's time?! ... Well well well, will talk about that later. Back to what I've done in this period of 10 days. Initially, I was slackin' in my nest, as usual. Went out with my 2 besties to the beach and also to Yihan's house occasionally. Pon touched down. We went out. Pon, you did not change! Still the one who loves smiling :) . We were all so scented by the end of that day after we went perfume- shopping with her. Of course, she bought 2 bottles. The DKNY one smells great. We all went for Sat's alumni thingy, which was ultimately boring. We were hoping to find some teachers to chat and mingle with, but unfortunately, we remembered they are currently having their 5-days teaching scheme. Some of those old schoolmates really changed... some of them were so stuck-up that they walked in a manner where they had their heads tilted toward the direction of the sky..Yeah, I just can't wait to see them trip and fall. Miss LALA-JIAO (Lee Li Qiu) haha, is forever the same. She really looked as radiant, vibrant and cheerful as an apple. Woo! What a loving couple there! Haha. It was a Sunday, we saw Pon off, with the company of Marliyana and Grace, who arrived in the nick of time...ok, not really. Hey neighbour(Marl)!, nice seeing you again, though we live in the same block, we seldom see each other man...haha. Went to Swensens with Yihan to have some desserts. Gave Yahui a surprise! Tsk tsk tsk, the vanilla ice-cream on the apple crumble that she scooped was SO ROUND and HUGE. I did not finish my share because it was such an enormous portion that I just couldn't consume. Definitely, I made a complain!...Not! Now I'm hungry for some crumble... We were so happy to see each other again. Haha. *Claps joyfully* Had diarrhoea the next few days...whatever. Watched Charmed last night, it seemed to has lost its way.. I don't even know what the story was about... Really sad. ''Desperate Housewives'' is way nicer. Today's American Idol was quite boring...they could've chosen nicer songs from the Millennium period. I still think Bo is the best. *Bo Bice spices up my rice!* Haha! I think Anthony, Scott and Vonzell would be in the bottom 3, with Scott getting the boot. It's really time to go, Scott, you don't deserve to be standing there. 1 month... How I wish school reopens tomorrow! *Screams* freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 4:09 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Sunday, April 17, 2005 IT FLEW LIKE A BIRD... Ok...These few days have not been so boring. We have been going to Mr. Chong's house quite often to watch vcds and last night, Desperate Housewives. Of course, we've exceeded channel 5 schedule for the show and proceeded with watching the later episodes of the show...Channel 5 is very slow...but we're glad that at least it's showing...where is America's Next Top Model?? America is already showing it's 4th Season..weeks ago... and we haven't even watch Season 3. Oh gosh. Yes. We went kite-flying today! To be frank...I've never touch a kite in my entire life...this is my first. Yeah, I know! But I really haven't... Under the scorching sun, we strolled ourselves to the park. Min Jun, you're just right... I acted normal outside...but I was actually screaming inside...IT WAS SO HOT!! It felt as though I was reluctantly abandoned in an oven, where I pitifully and painfully await the unbearable heat to turn me into a piece of barbecued pork rib. Well, not that horrifying after all, but I was sweating. So we continued on our journey to the beach. We bought an eagle (kite) along the way and while the sun was still blazing up above, we were greeted by the sea breeze.. The way the cool breeze swept pass our bodies, interacting with the molecules of the beads of dripping sweat, which eventually evaporates into the air, the feeling was just...Ahhhhhh... *spreads his "wings" and begins flapping them* We walked and ran to the other side of the park, with Min Jun constantly yelling and screaming behind asking us to freeze at our respective spots. (Well, can't blame that she's old...haha) And we finally found a land to ourselves... No, actually there were quite a number of occupants already, all standing and occupying some portions of the land for the same reason... to fly their beautiful kites. We had some warm- ups and fixed our kite.. The first few attempts were unsuccessful... but after more trials... our eagle still refused to take flight...we threw, blew, pulled, rolled, ran, bent, cursed, etc etc...the stupid damn eagle just wouldn't make its way into the sky. But you can see how it was being brutally abused...constantly flying towards its left side and hitting its head on the ground. Soon, intruders came running in all directions, accompanied by their kites, occupying more space. Together, we looked up and spotted several kites...they were so high up! We were then astonished to find out that a few of the owners were actually very young kids... Wow.. OH man...people around us must be laughing at our skills. Fed- up, Yihan went and bought a plastic diamond- shaped kite. Yay! Min Jun and Yihan then began to fix our new kite and with the help of some breeze, it was making its way up and soon it was a few metres above our heads. I refused to give up and kept throwing that eagle into the air, as I still believe that the eagle will eventually fly. If not the vendor would never have sold it if she knew this kite won't progress, unless she's there to cheat our money, which I don't think that was the case. I was hopping around when suddenly bubbles came floating my direction from behind. Gotta say, it felt like I was... flying. The feeling with bubbles surrounding me was heavenly...bubbles of encouragement. Turned and found out that Mr. Yihan was the one blowing it. Haha. The eagle was then getting on my nerves, thus threw it onto the ground with fury and ran to play with the new one. Yihan left for dinner awhile later. Desperate, Min Jun and I found a new location at a small grassland next to the beach and we threw our kite into the air...the wind was quite strong...and not long after...our kite was flying...the strong breeze was pushing it forward...we fed the string...it was blown up higher... we pulled, screamed, cheered... our kite soared higher...higher...and higher... We added more string... it was longer, the kite was further away, hanging somewhere in mid-air... we gazed.. Wow. We made it... our kite was fluttering gracefully in the blue sky...like a bird. Mariah's new song "Fly Like a Bird" is such a great number for that situation.. haha. At last, the moment of joy! Did you guys see our kite?? Haha... At one moment, we thought our few moments of joy would be destroyed...as this orange kite beside ours came flying our way...wanting to entangle ours.. maybe it was jealous of our achievement. Outraged, we marched toward the owner of that orange kite, took out the scissors we just bought, smiled at the owner, and cut off his string and stormed off. Yeah, I mean No! We obviously didn't do that...haha. But with the help of Min Jun, we fought the battle and managed to break free and create an invisible space round our kite. And yes, with all the jumping and running, Min Jun broke her sandals. Gosh, I didn't know flying a kite would be that fun... you should look at the way we were jumping enthusiastically with pride... but in order to achieve, strength and concentration must do the work...alot of hard work is needed... same goes for almost everything. After enjoying our triumphant moments, we made our way home. It was such a fulfilled day. I really wanna do it again...can't wait! WOOOHOOO! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 11:10 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Thursday, April 14, 2005 Oooo... I'm rotting... I'm lying down here...like a decaying cold fish... all I did was just walk in and out of my room, sit in my chair and land my 10 boney fingers on any alphabets on that keyboard to form words that I was actually thinking about during specific moments where I channeled from some far- end corners of my brain, or to constantly push the mouse, clicking on items as well as search the Net for stuff in hopes to answer those sizzling questions about celebrities, shows or anything interesting, that were continuously popping out from my head. Tell me, how can I possibly not decay with this daily routine that I'm currently going through... Well, I'm just too lazy to even step out of the house.. haha. American Idol was quite good yesterday. The idols did their thing. They sang it, they worked the stage well, the lighting to the stage was fantastic...really did raise the mood and the energy. I particularly loved Anwar's performance. He was my fav this week. He sang "I'll Never Love This Way Again" better than Jasmine Trias. Way better, by a mile. Love the song. Vonzell's once again amazing. The way her voice registered with the song, the way she threw her hands animatedly into the air, shook and twisted her hour-glass shaped body with the up-tempo beats of the music. She's so much different from those Diva-wannabes-neverbe persons.. Till now, she hit all the right notes, she lifted up the spirits of the audience.. I've gotta admit, she's quite near Whitney. Some of Whitney's live performances aren't that powerful and astonishing... Some..But Whitney's great too. (Right, Mr. Chong? Whitney's great!) Haha. Thus, Soloman's a diva-wannabe-can be. Yeah. I love Carrie's "Love is a battlefield" too. Catchy tune. She rawked. I liked Constantine's performance for the first time yesterday. It's cool. He's got awesome stage presence. Ok ok...should I say I love the AMI's stage. It's exquisite! Every part of that stage...it's like so polished.. Unlike S'pore Idol's stage.. that's minute. Back to the topic... I always like Bo. He's a great performer. My mom's fav too. Haha. It's sad to see Nadia leave. Scott should SHOO OFF! Did he say he rock during the judges comments? Or did he say he ROT? I thought I heard the 2nd. Well, who cares what I heard... he obviously DO NOT rock, at all. Scott Savol is really getting on my nerves. His ignorant plus arrogant attitude is an ultimate turn-off. Someone with a foul personality is equivalent to one who has no personality, and to me, that person is just like an empty shell. Yes he can sing...so what? Look at the way he sang "Against All Odds" during the results show...constantly pointing to himself when he belted out the phrase "take a look at me now!" Look at what? Your bloated and sagging tummy? Eww..*spins his eyeballs* Obviously he was telling ppl how good he was... To: Scott-the-gigantic-pest-who-stormed-and-almost-cracked-the-ground-Savol. W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R! *BOOO!* Ok enough of him. Mariah is the true diva I should say. Her comeback album "The Emancipation of Mimi" is brilliant. It is pretty hard to find an artist who is willing to experiment their music so openly. A lot are just cautious in regards to the matter of fact that they are unwilling to mess with an already successful formula. What really makes Mariah unique is that she is willing to creatively expand and venture off into the other different genres of music. For a woman nearing her 40s, it's amazing that Mariah can deliver her songs till this level... she is fortunate to be blessed with her stunning five-octave voice. I doubt any American Idols will ever have that range or even dare to take the risk, except Kelly. Well, of course you can't compare this record with the classics of Mariah. Those were the days... *away he flew like a bird* freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 10:27 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Tuesday, April 12, 2005 Oooooooooooooooooh myyyy... This hols... It's practically boring me to death! I'm so so so bored... You know what? I just feel like leaving this country so badly. There is absolutely nothing that fascinating here! Well, seriously I did ever thought of leaving, you know. I did think about zooming across the Pacific Ocean once again to the US on my own, and once there, I am gonna shop all I can! For a week. No harm if I don't have any accommodation, I really don't mind sleeping in the streets... not kidding. Okay, I'm gonna steal my passport from my parents' drawer later... I'm gonna book my own air- ticket and I'm gonna tour round the whole world some time this week! Sounds nice yeah... Actually, I've gotta think it over. You can say that I'm daydreaming or whatever... what else can I possibly do? *Crashes his head on the keyboard* Oh I just remembered I did something, I've gotta tell, that lately, I've been watching and re-watching downloaded versions of "Desperate Housewives" and I am so into this soap opera. It's so much better than "Days of Our Lives"...which is like never- ending. I just love the plot, the ladies, the mystery which has yet to be uncovered, the lawns planted beautifully at either side of the roads of Wisteria Lane, Mary Alice Young's voice, I love almost everything about it! Spotted some errors... but that's no big deal. Initially, I thought it would be another boring drama, but I was proven wrong! I was just so stupid to not notice. Special thanks to Miss Teoh, Mr. Chong and Mr. Tan for telling me it's a nice show! That simply took the stupidity away from me for a moment. The character I loved most in the show would simply be Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) . Everytime I watch the show, and everytime I see her, there is some sort of a weird yet comfortable connection that I have, with her. She's kind, funny, clumsy, quirky and blah blah... Where on Earth can you ever find a woman as perfect as Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross)? Look at those nosh she cooks everytime! Those gigantic turkeys, those crunchy cookies... Seems so delicious! (Though I know those aren't cooked by her...duh duh!) The way she presents herself excites me. The way she talks, walks... The way her reddish wavy hair curls and swings with every movement made by her... The way she hung her handbag on her broad yet silky shoulder. Wow. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Eva Longoria (Gabrielle) is gorgeous. But her melons are small, don't you think? Oh well, no matter what, she's still sexy... especially her lips. In a way, I like Felicity's role...In the show, she stood up for her kids and herself. I like the way she fought back at that Maisy bitch. A few day's back, Yihan found this 'Which Desperate Housewife Are You?' quiz and asked us to try it. And we did. On my first attempt, it turned out that if I were a desperate housewife, I would be Susan Mayer. Which is good, because I like her character very much. I did another quiz that... if I were a man, which I am... I would probably be having a wife who is quite similar to Edie Britt. (MY GOODNESS!) I mean she's such a slut in the show... Would that mean I could be marrying a slut in the future? Oh, I hope not. You see, quizzes are usually not that accurate. I remember reading this article somewhere that Britney Spears might be on the show.. starring as what? Edie Britt's slutty sister? But James Denton (Mike) said that won't happen because the show doesn't need someone famous to boost its popularity...which is quite true.. Britney would just mess up everything. But I really hope Oprah would be in it. That would be so much fun! Ok ok..I'm all but crazy over "Desperate Housewives"! Haha.. I know it's weird, but it seems to me that I am attracted to middle-aged women. They appeal to me. People, please stop worrying... I will never seduce your mothers. Oh gosh no. I'm certainly not interested in local (unsexy) Moms, at all. Whoops. Haha. Nuff' said. Oh well well well, I guess alil meditation would help ward off the boredom that has been creeping over me. *Huummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!* freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 7:55 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Sunday, April 03, 2005 Woooo! What a wonderful day! Woke up to a brand new day... Met Min Jun and Yihan at the station around noon and headed toward town. After we alighted, we bought some water immediately made our way to the entrance of the fashion hall. The first show was about some indian costumes. There weren't that many people yet at that moment. Soon enough, people kept joining in and the queue was getting longer and longer... The afternoon sun was shining high above...all we could do was to fan ourselves with the printed tickets. After standing out there for almost 30 mins, the door opened and those people surrounding us were practically elbowing each other and charging into the hall. Totally what you would call 'KIASU'. *Rolls his eyes* And we were in. 4 designers showcased their masterpieces... I especially love the third one. SO GLAM! The sparkling diamonds hanging down from the model's palm, the cigarette stucked in between those fingers... the beautiful flowy costumes... This is the very first time I'm seeing a fashion show Live... so I'm a virgin to fashion shows. Oh, I mean I was. Those models weren't that pretty at all, they only have their tall and skinny figures and some catwalking skills which helped them to cling on to this job. But of course, they must be able to tell a story with the clothes or costume that they are putting on and make them stand out to the audience and also every moment and step they make on the runway must be smooth. But overall the show was good. Ended in around half an hrs time. Discussed about the models and all on our way to Cineleisure. Watched 'Be Cool' later. It's an average movie, I won't say it's very good, no no, it's not that very good. It's just okay. I would give it a 3. Though The Rock was the funniest character. Christina Milian blew us away with her melodious voice when she sang 'Believer'. It was so pure. See! Another person with muscular lungs. But she has grown fatter in this show. All this show is about is this girl (Christina. M), whose getting her recording contract...of course there are more to it, but watch it if you wanna know it. Headed back to the entrance of the fashion hall again for our next fashion show. This time it is clothes by the local designers. We were discussing about Jon Jonsson (the Manhunt winner...duh) and was like continuously teasing and making Miss Teoh happy asking her what if she saw him.. but she made it sounded as though it's something impossible...After talking unknowingly for a while, we realized we were standing at the wrong row, so we shifted ourselves over to the other... and we continued with our conversation... and we were occasionally looking to see if the door to the entrance is opened and also hoping to catch a sight of Mr. Jonsson. But he was nowhere to be seen. I then swung my head round and wait... hey, is that him? he came nearer...ok I think it is...and to my astonishment, it was Jon Jonsson. I began nudging Min Jun and they both turned around and yes it was him. And Miss Teoh's first reaction was like... '' he's not as tall as I thought he was.." haha. But he's definitely taller than you Missy. And she kept chanting that he was hot, gorgeous and blahs. But to be honest, he's damn good looking. Soon, the door opened and we were in for the next show. The clothes were alright...but there were some outstanding ones. It ended shortly after. Made our way out, decided to go to Far East for some crispy chicken. Saw Jon Jonsson again with this leather jacket, where he was surrounded by some reporters and VIPs. My dear friend really had her dreams/ wishes or whatever desires fulfilled...i guess. Haha. The England chicken in Far East was alright. Still prefer Von's recommendation of the XXXL Crispy Chicken next to it. More crunchy. Had dinner at Lido. When to the supermarket at the basement and looked for sushis. Gotta admit, Orchard is so boring! What more to do other than shopping? It's shopping. Well couldn't blame S'pore for being such a small country. Well, went back to the fashion hall for Min Jun's fate. Haha...but saw Alex Polstra and some local artistes instead of my friend's idol. So tired...finally, making our way home. It was a fun day. freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 11:41 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments Saturday, April 02, 2005 PHEWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! It's over! Exams are finally over! Do you even feel it's holiday already? It seems not for myself. It's as though I have left out something...something seems incomplete. But what...? Gosh. Whatever, just throw everything behind. Super weird feeling about those papers. Actually bad feeling. But that's 3 weeks later. Just gotta pray hard. Watched the 'Eye 10' with Yahui, Teresa, Suhana, Jiayi and Roslin. Oh goodness! That is probably the WORST movie I've ever watched! SO SO SO HORRIBLE. and extremely lame. I would simply give it a -5 out of 5 stars. *2 thumbs and toes down!* Wednesday's American Idol was alright. Vonzell outsang everyone with her amazing rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing". That is one of my all- time favourites and oh my, she gave me some shocks and goosebumps. *Returns Vonzell a standing ovation* Why can Americans sing so well? Is it because having born and raised in a big country, you'll have big lungs and pipes growing inside you? How did the Americans train their lungs in order to develop them into muscular ones? Can we do the same? Why can't we sing that well? I am so jealous. Ok, maybe not, because it takes alot of hard work to be a singer. Went bowling with Min Jun and Yihan yesterday... wonder why my balls keep rolling into the drain.. and mind you...cut off those dirty thoughts in your minds about that 'word'...haha. Overall, the game was fun and I was laughing my ass off during those crazy moments. (I managed to catch it back.) It was so unfair that Min Jun got a strike and I don't... I threw the balls with all my might man...how can it not succeed? BOOHOO! Strolled to Yihan's house sometime later...no we brisk walked... er... wait, we brisk- walked in the middle, and then ran to his house at the end. We were debating about the choice of the DVDs that we should watch. After which, we decided to watch The Grudge. And resulting from all those screams and yells and creepy suspense where pillows were needed to act as shields to cover from those horror sights...and the unstoppable complains that came from the only girl amongst the audience, we decided to stop it and watch Pirates of the Carribean. Oh I still remember the Pirates of the Carribean boat ride I took in Disneyland...that was cool man...so fun! Ok that's not the point...BTW, I thought it was a great movie, but it turned out otherwise. The starting was so boring that it caused my friend, Mr. Chong, to fall asleep with the company of the cosy atmosphere. Min Jun and I were practically slouching in any angles and positions that we could possibly slouch. Surprisingly, I was awake throughout the whole 2.17hrs. Though there were some jokes implanted in the movie, it was just alright. Wonder who gave this show a 4 Star review... so wrong. WOO! We're going to a couple of fashion shows tomorrow. Tomorrow's the last day of the Fashion Festival... I think. We shall all pray very hard now on Min Jun's behalf, no, we shall pray for her...all she wishes is just to get a glimpse of Mr. Jon Jonsson, and maybe take some shots with him and have alil chat? All we have to do is polish our eyeballs tonight so as to get a better vision tomorrow. Haha. *Opens the drawer, pulls out the Da Vinci Code.* freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 5:57 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you. (0) comments |
