Footprints in the Sand . Being 21 feels normal. And today feels like any other day. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just like the usual. It's a day where you just wanna sit. Around somewhere and think. Think about what you ask. Life. The road ahead. A lot. People have been asking how and with whom was I gonna celebrate this 'BIG' day. My reply. At home; with my folks. Even for the previous years, this has stayed the same. I hadn't been out on my BIG day. Home is where I wanna be. And the only persons worth spending time with the most on this day. Are the ones that gave birth to people like me and you. . I am. The joy of my Mom and Dad's love. I am theirs. My life belongs to them. They gave me life. They made me happen. They are the reasons I am loving my life. They are the ones who know me best. They are the ones who walked me through the years. They are the only persons in this World. Who shower unconditional love unselfishly. They are. My all. That is why. This day. Is dedicated to them. For their love. Because of that; I blossomed. From nothingness. . . Friends play big roles in our lives as well. Though nothing compares as much to kinship. The former are people who keep us sane in this insane world. They are the ones who make the difference. Who bring us laughter. The ones who remind us every now and then. That no matter what happens. We always have their shoulders to lean on. They are. Friends. . And I. From the bottom of my heart. Sincerely thank you all. Whoever you are. For being part of my life and allowing me to be part of yours. Y'all are the reasons why I'm still learning. And striving. To be a better person. Not a different one. But just Myself. . --------------------------------------- . Thank you all for your wishes. You know who you are. To my camp mates; thank you so much for waiting an additional hour (though you guys could've gone back home way before) just to sing that infamous song and to witness on my cake-cutting "ceremony". Thank you y'all for remembering today. Cheers.
