Tuesday, April 24, 2007 Jungfraujoching or Not? . Just came back from the tour briefing and I should say after the session, I'm so wishing that I'd be flying off right away! I should talk about this attraction that caught my attention when the optional tours pamphlet was given to us. There's this place, Jungfraujoch, on the list. In case you wonder, Jungfraujoch is in Switzerland, located above Interlaken, elevating about 11,000 feet above sea level and is home to Jungfraubahn, the highest railway station in Europe. And as mentioned, it is only accessible by the Swiss Rail driven up on the shoulders of the mountain. What's more, right on top stands Eispalast, the highest-altitude Ice Palace in the world! And truth to be told, it's actually hewn from Europe's longest glacier, which simply means, the entire palace is made of ICE! OMFG! How really cool is that, no?? . However, one thing left the room murmuring. It costs CHF180 (SGD 228) per pax for the railway tickets. WOOOH. That's already $700 for my family, just for a freaking train ride! Not to mention, there's certain ways one may think about how such moolah could be put to use. Well you see, Apple may say "You must be kidding, 700 bucks just to go up there and back down again, NUTCASE! I could possibly use that to buy myself a Prada bag in Milan, and it's tax-free!" Then, Banana may protest "No, I don't think so! Now that you've come so far, why not go further? How often do you think you're going to come back again, or perhaps even not! I say it's worth going for it!" On the other hand, Cherry may think "I think it's more than enough to be given this chance to travel this far, I'd save up the $700 for meals and daily supplies." If you were to choose, would you somewhat think like Apple, Banana, or Cherry? A,B or C? Frankly, my mum and I went for C. However, my Dad thought B is wise. Well, I thought of that too, but for me, I wouldn't. And moreover, there's some health issues to be taken care of (given the fact of oxygen lackage {sp?} on such altitudes). So we'll see. Whateverso it is, I'm still very much looking forward to that one day. This period where I can really craze myself up before walking right into the infamous battlefield. Grrrrrrrrrrr. I hope this never ends. Not the latter that is! HOLLA U-ROPE! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 10:26 PM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you.
