Sunday, June 04, 2006 Third Month Hey Y'all! Long time no see! Its been nearly a month since I tidied this space. Seemed long but it was merely a flash. Lotsa stuff happened at work, here and there, but no worries, none of them are negative. Haha. And YAY! Let's celebrate with me for the completion of 12 weeks of internship. Actually, I dread returning back to school. Of course I miss having my pals around with me, but classes are way too BORING! I can't stand the fact that I have another semester to clear before graduating. *Slumps* How I wish this was the finish line, right after the internship programme that is. And then charge myself right into Army, and then 2 years later, out of town. To those who think MTI is aka Holiday Inn, you thought wrong. I'm confident to say that I have as much to do as compared to you guys. Not to mention, MTI is like a training centre. Everyone comes and goes. It's only a matter of time before this place becomes a ghost town. But well, that's not gonna happen right? If it does, then the IR will go down as well, since MTI is the Ministry handling this project, or any other gigantic projects that are springing up on the island. And if people in Finance leave, work will automatically flow to Diana and myself. And to be honest, that's terrible. For gawd sake, I'm just an INTERN! But we ain't blaming no one for taking flight off this place. Though the incentives of working as a civil servant is admirable, one has to consider on having to take on the tedious work cycle. It just rotates all year round. Same old stuff that you're doing. The government will only favour scholars. So you can easily spot newcomers coming in anytime and taking the place of a SAD (Senior Assistant Director), which is basically 2 steps down the Division's Director (who earns 1/4 of the Minister's salary!). So why SAD so fast? Scholars they are. So they become SAD in no time once recruited. Sad right, for those who have to work so hard to reach to the top. Oh well, it's a plus and minus thing, depending on how you see it. I have to admit I love MTI, for its people ONLY. I know I've been repeating this for like umpteen times, but they are like ANGELS! So angelic that they are generously contributing me with a pair of graceful wings, allowing me to soar in this quest. Of course, I have to say I'm only that close to certain people, especially Diana and Lynn. Diana actually graduated from Ngee Ann Accountancy 4 years ago! And she knows Chai Fang. What a small world! Lynn is a jovial young lady, who is of the same age as me! And she's soon flying off to UK, University of Warwick to pursue her double degree in Biz and Law for 3 years, ALONE! How cool man!!! I simply love being around these 2 people, they are the ones whom I can share my personal thoughts with at work. But Lynn's leaving EOTM. I'll miss her quite alot, as I have one down to talk to, but Diana is leaving after me! Or sometime when I'm gone. SO YEAY! Alright, that's all for now, LUNCHING OUT! ADIOS!!! (Lynn taught me this!) Haha! freed his mind P.Y.R.A - U.G.I.N.E at 11:41 AM [comment] Life is beautiful, so are you.
